Stereogum is the number one destination for any serious music enthusiast. Titus Klein built upon this fact by crafting a unique experience that would ensure this will still be the case for many years to come. Hosting a myriad of video, audio and pictorial news it was important that any redesign was versatile enough to house all of these forms of media.

Serving the news in a visual medium
Serving news in a highly visual manner allows a user to immediately process and consume the content. Articles are presented in a clear grid, with the addition of a ‘teaser’ snippet. This combined with strong photography helps the user assess the content and decide what they want to do next. Large hover states and hit zones make site navigation easy no matter what size viewport that are using.

An original design with a modern layout.
With over 280 thousand followers, the redesign pays homage to Stereogum’s legacy. Surfacing multiple entries in the hero area of the homepage allows a serious music follower the ability to scan multiple articles at once. This section will refresh over a given period of time, delivering even more content. News entries are clearly segmented, this allows a comfortable scan of all content as the page is scrolled with minimal visual clutter.
