Startup Grind is a global startup community designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs. It is powered by Google for Entrepreneurs. We host monthly events in 150 cities and 65 countries featuring successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors who share personal stories and lessons learned on the road to building great companies.

Enabling efficient content consumption.
The site is fully responsive down to mobile. The off-canvas menu enables the user to easily navigate the site with ease. The desktop version of the site allowed us to create a more immersive experience. As the user scrolls, the hero carousel moves back within 3d space to allow the content below to scroll into view.
Outcome.
A Functional Design with surprises
The design evolved naturally around the content. It was important to communicate that this is a truly global community. We achieved this by surfacing the many global events that are happening just below the hero image. The community has very active article writers. With this in mind there is generous room for blog posts to consume right from the homepage.
